Bring your knitting to the next level with this incredibly chic beret!

In this two-part workshop, we'll work on the Bria Beret by Studio Faden. You will learn:

  • How to knit with the magic loop method, or opt to use double pointed needles
  • The cable cast-on technique
  • How to shape the beret using increases and decreases.
  • How to follow an intermediate knitting pattern and understand knitting terminology and abbreviations 

 

You must have advanced beginner knitting skills to attend this workshop, including knitting in the round. Our Knitting 101 & 102 workshops (or equivalent experience) are a prerequisite to this class-- register here.

 

This is two-part workshop taking place on:

Wednesday 10/22 and Wednesday 10/19, 6:30-9:30pm

Students must be available to attend both dates.

Date: Two parts-- select start date above 
Location: Will be indicated on the calendar when you select your workshop date! We have two locations: 165 Greenpoint Ave and 37 Greenpoint Ave.
Cost: $95 includes six hours of instruction. Materials are not included. A 10% discount will be honored at our shop and on our website.

Meet Your Instructor

Amelia is a maker, designer, and instructor with over 20 years experience. She works in the fashion industry as a knitwear designer and is the Creative Director and Founder of Studio Faden, a fiber art instruction company. Originally from the PNW, she now calls Brooklyn home where outside of crafting, she enjoys yoga and her two cats. Find out more at @studio_faden

This is an intermediate level knitting workshop. In order to register, you must have confidence in the following knitting skills, and have practiced them in the recent past. Due to the group nature of this workshop, we will not be able to provide instruction on the below. 

  • Knitting
  • Knitting in the round
  • Casting on (any method)
  • Binding off 

If you're a newbie or need a refresher on any of the above, join us for Knitting 101 and Knitting 102 to get some practice in and build your skills! Don't worry, we will offer this class again in the future so take your time skilling up so you can get the most out of this one when you're ready :-)
