Skill Level Requirement: Total newbies welcomed - no experience required!

Whether you're a total beginner or a long-lost knitter who needs a refresher--if you've been wanting to learn to get your knit on, this workshop is for you!

We'll cover basics of this simple, portable craft of turning yarn into fabric. With a pair of needles, some yarn and a little basic know-how, you'll be on your way to knitting nirvana.

In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • Yarn & needle information
  • How to cast on and start
  • The knit stitch
  • How to bind off to finish any project

Materials:

Materials needed for class are available to be purchased at our shop in person or online as a local pick up order at a 10% student discount. Please note, within 24 hrs of registering for the workshop, you will receive the discount code for the materials needed. For Knitting 101 you will need:

  • 1 skein of either Alpachino Merino or Malabrigo Chunky (we highly recommended starting out with a lighter color so you can see your stitches better as you are learning)

  • 1 pair of size US 10.5 9" needles

  • 1 tapestry needle
