Teen Fashion Sewing
For teens ages 12-17 who have been wanting to learn to sew -- this 3-session workshop will teach you everything you need to know to start creating your own clothes and accessories! In this three-part class, you'll master machine sewing as you make both a tote bag and an elastic-waisted skirt. Get ready to create your own DIY style and express yourself with your new handmade, one of a kind wardrobe!
This class will be held on three consecutive Wednesdays, 4pm-6pm. Students must be available to attend all three sessions: May 3, 10, and 17.
Here's what we'll cover:
- Basic intro to a sewing machine, including how to sew a straight seam
- How to measure the body properly for garment fitting
- How to cut fabric accurately
- Pinning and sewing seams
- How follow a simple, printed pattern
Supplies are not included in the registration fee and will be available for purchase in our retail shop. Students should bring $40 cash for supplies, or parents can pay for materials used at pickup.
All tools needed to complete this class will be provided and sewing machines will be available courtesy of BERNINA of America.
This workshop is for students aged 12-17 only. Adults are encouraged to check out our other sewing workshops here. We do not offer workshops for students under age 12 at this time.

Cost: $185.00 + fabric purchase during class; students will select their choice of fabric.
