WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Kick your beginner knitting skills up a notch by learning the other stitch in knitting: purling! Plus make this super cute cowl for yourself or as a great holiday gift!

In this two hour workshop, you'll learn all the skills you need to make this cozy cowl. You will learn:

  • Yarn & needle information
  • How to knit in the round
  • How to Purl
  • The Seed Stitch
  • All the skills needed to construct an in the round cowl from start to finish


SKILL REQUIREMENTS: You must have basic knitting skills to attend this workshop, including: casting on and the knit stitch. Our Knitting 101 workshop (or equivalent experience) is a prerequisite to this class-- register here.

This is a great class to take to prepare for our Cabled Cowl or intro to Colorwork class!

Meet Your Instructor

Amelia is a maker, designer, and instructor with over 20 years experience. She works in the fashion industry as a knitwear designer and is the Creative Director and Founder of Studio Faden, a fiber art instruction company. Originally from the PNW, she now calls Brooklyn home where outside of crafting, she enjoys yoga and her two cats. Find out more at @studio_faden
