Learn modern quilting techniques! This one-day workshop will cover all the basics of assembling, machine-quilting, and finishing a small quilt.
In one five-hour session, you'll learn:
In class, you will start and finish an appox. 36" square quilt with two different fabrics on the front and back. The finished project makes an ideal baby quilt, lap quilt, or wall hanging. You'll also leave with the know-how to tackle more quilting projects on your own!
Note: This class does not cover patchwork quilting. We will be working with solid pieces of fabric, not pieced patchwork. If you'd like to learn to sew patchwork, check out our Beginner Patchwork Intensive. Register for both and save $20 using the code QUILTPARTY -- and yes, you can use the blocks created in that class for your quilt!
This is an easy/intermediate class -- you do not need advanced sewing skills, but you must have basic machine sewing knowledge.

Diana Rodgers is a fiber artist and educator who grew up on Long Island and is now based in Bronx, NY. Since receiving a BFA from The Fashion Institute of Technology, Diana has pursued three creative career paths: fashion designer, manufacturer, and sewing educator. Sewing is the common thread among all three.
Most of her days are spent teaching people of all ages how to sew, but Diana finds time to work on soft sculptures, embroideries, and quilts. Career highlights include teaching over 1000 people how to use a sewing machine, and selling her products to MoMA Design Store.
