Whether you're a total beginner or a long-lost knitter who needs a refresher--if you've been wanting to learn to get your knit on, this open, ongoing class series is for you! Join us for one session or as many as you need to feel confident in your skills.

In this workshop, we'll cover basics of this simple, portable craft of turning string into fabric. With a pair of needles, some yarn and a little basic know-how, you'll be on your way to knitting nirvana.

In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • Yarn & needle information
  • How to cast on and start
  • The knit stitch
  • How to bind off to finish any project

Location: Brooklyn Craft Company's NEW LOCATION, 165 Greenpoint Avenue (here’s where we’re located)
Cost: $35 includes three hours of instruction. Yarn and knitting needles must be purchased during class; a 10% discount will be honored for all students the day of class. If you are continuing a project from a previous session, please bring along your materials.

Meet Your Instructor

Amelia Burrus-Granger is a Greenpoint-based designer and maker. Originally from the west coast with a background in Women’s Studies and the history of radical knitting, her current hobbies include reading young adult fiction, decluttering her apartment, and daydreaming of re-wilding. Check out her work at ameliamargaret.com.
