Bring your knitting to the next level with the Halle Hood! Quick to knit, so cozy, and a great addition to your winter wardrobe.

In this 2-part workshop, we'll work on the Halle Hood by Studio Faden. You will learn:

  • How to knit in the round
  • How to decrease
  • How to purl
  • Kitchener Stitch
  • How to follow a knitting pattern and understand knitting terminology and abbreviations 

 

You must have beginner knitting skills to attend this workshop, including the knit stitch and casting on. Our Knitting 101 workshop (or equivalent experience) is a prerequisite to this class-- register here.

 

This is a 2-part workshop taking place on the following dates:

Tuesday 12/2 and Tuesday 12/9 at 6:30pm-8:30pm

 

 

Class Details

Date: Select start date above (this is a two-part workshop; students must be available for both sessions)
Location: We have two locations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn: The BCC Shop at 165 Greenpoint Ave, and The BCC Annex 37 Greenpoint Ave #105.  Your workshop location will be indicated when selecting your workshop date above. Your booking confirmation email and any subsequent reminder emails will also include the address, with a link to the location on Google Maps.
Cost: $75 includes four hours of instruction and knitting pattern. Materials are not included. A 10% discount will be honored at our shop and on our website.

Meet Your Instructor

Amelia is a maker, designer, and instructor with over 20 years experience. She works in the fashion industry as a knitwear designer and is the Creative Director and Founder of Studio Faden, a fiber art instruction company. Originally from the PNW, she now calls Brooklyn home where outside of crafting, she enjoys yoga and her two cats. Find out more at @studio_faden

This is an advanced beginner level knitting workshop. In order to register, you must have confidence in the following knitting skills, and have practiced them in the recent past. Due to the group nature of this workshop, we will not be able to provide instruction on the below. 

  • Knitting
  • Casting on (any method)
  • Binding off 

If you're a newbie or need a refresher on any of the above, join us for Knitting 101 to get some practice in and build your skills! Don't worry, we will offer this class again in the future so take your time skilling up so you can get the most out of this one when you're ready :-)
