The Tom-A-Tote Crochet Pattern

Tote your tomatoes around the city in this adorable and easy-to-make bag! Choose from multiple granny square motifs to customize your tote to your summer shopping list. (Disclaimer: This bag works just as well for your non-tomato needs, such as yarn, crochet hooks, etc…!)

Note: This crochet pattern includes both written and charted instructions.

MATERIALS

• 3 balls of Shiny Happy Cotton in True Blood Red
• 1-2 balls of Shiny Happy Cotton in Ivory White (bags that use the Beefsteak Tomato square may only need 1 ball)
• 1 ball of Shiny Happy Cotton in Moss Green, or scraps of any green yarn (a very small amount is needed to add tomato stems)
• 5mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Tape measure
• Blocking board and pins
• Locking stitch markers

MEASUREMENTS

• Finished Bag: 14 x 14 inches
• Handle: 26 inches (approximately 12 inches from shoulder to bag when carried)
• Each Square: Approximately 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches
