Whether you're a sewing newbie or a confident beginner wanting to tackle zipper projects, this class is for you! Our expert instructor will teach you sewing basics while you make a custom cushion. You’ll leave class with a finished zipper pillow, and once you know how to make one, you can make dozens more to deck out your sofa in DIY style!
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- Basic intro to a sewing machine, including how to sew a straight seam.
- How to cut fabric accurately
- Pinning and sewing seams
- How to install a zipper
No previous experience is necessary, but comfort on a sewing machine is helpful! If you think you need a bit of practice before tacking this project, check out our Sewing 101 workshops here!
Fabric, pillow forms and zippers will be available for purchase in our retail shop at a 10% discount to students. All tools needed to complete this class will be provided and sewing machines will be available courtesy of BERNINA of America.
