Get crafty with fabric and thread and make your own buttons in this 1.5 hour workshop! Using basic hand stitching and appliqué techniques, you will create your fabric masterpieces. Get as creative as you want and we will turn your creations into buttons or pins.
In this workshop you'll learn:
- The basics of hand stitching and appliqué techniques
- How to use a fabric covered button maker
- How to turn your button into a custom pin

Location: We have two locations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn: The BCC Shop at 165 Greenpoint Ave, and The BCC Annex 37 Greenpoint Ave #105. June - September 2026 we also have a pop-up space at 225 Broadway in Lower Manhattan! Your workshop location will be indicated when selecting your workshop date above. Your booking confirmation email and any subsequent reminder emails will also include the address, with a link to the location on Google Maps.
Cost: $45, includes all materials needed and use of tools during the workshop.

Meet Your Instructor
Kat Lee (she/her) is a freelance illustrator with a love of mixed media, and is currently combining her love of fiber arts and blockprinting. Her practice revolves around art that explores strong storytelling and themes of advocacy, folktales, and mythology.
