Learn how to make a cute, custom rug for your home! 

In this three-hour workshop led by instructor Molly George, you'll learn how to transform strips of fabric into a stylish home decor using a beginner crochet skills. No previous crochet experience is required!

This workshop will cover:

  • How to crochet in the round
  • How to properly cut fabric strips to size and join them together
  • How to experiment with color combinations for appealing results


Fabric & Supplies

Fabric and crochet hooks will be available for purchase during class at a 10% discount. Fabric quantities required will vary depending on the desired size of your rug; approximately 5-6 yards of fabric will make a 2-foot rug. Students are welcome to bring their own fabric to incorporate into their projects. This is a great way to use scraps, discarded clothing, and even bed sheets!

Cost: $45 includes three hours of instruction. Fabric and crochet hook can be purchased during class; a 10% discount will be honored for all students the day of class.


Meet Your Instructor

Molly George is a textile artist and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), a practicing artist, and a youth and adult teacher in the textile arts.
