In just three hours you'll learn the basics of this simple, portable craft for turning string into fabric. With a hook, some chunky yarn and a little basic know-how, you'll be on your way to crochet happiness as you create a cute foldover clutch.
In this class, you’ll learn the basics of crochet, including:
- Yarn & hook information
- How to begin your crochet project
- The single and double crochet stitches
- How to work back in forth in straight, even rows
- You'll begin making a foldover clutch

Cost: $35 includes three hours of instruction. Yarn and crochet hook can be purchased during class; a 10% discount will be honored for all students the day of class.

Rachel Tixier is a textile artist and designer based in Brooklyn. Her work incorporates a variety of crochet, weaving, beading, and sewing techniques and is inspired by global traditions of handmade textiles. She loves to share her passion for handmade clothing and textile art with students.
