Learn to sew a classic t-shirt!
In this two-evening workshop, you'll make a Helen's Closet Jackson Tee. The Jackson Tee is ready to be a workhorse in your wardrobe. This gender-inclusive design is great for you and excellent for your family and friends, too. All views have a classic unisex fit with a slightly dropped shoulder and crew neck. Two lengths are provided so it’s easy to suit yourself or the person you are sewing it for. You simply can’t have too many Jacksons! The pattern includes sizes 0-34!
You'll learn how to:
- Measure the body accurately to create a perfect fit
- Work from a commercial pattern, including size selection, deciphering instructions, cutting from paper pattern pieces, and more
- Understand best practices for sewing stretchy knits
- Sew a classic comfy t-shirt!
Please note: Because this pattern is available in PDF format only, a printed copy of this pattern is not included in the workshop registration fee. Students must purchase the Jackson Tee Pattern by Helen's Closet.
If printing the PDF version at home, the pattern must be fully assembled before arriving at class. Or, you can skip the tape-at-home hassle and have your pattern large format printed by our friends at Brooklyn Motif! Feel free to email hello@brooklyncraftcompany.com with any questions about PDF patterns.
Fabric and other supplies will be available for purchase in our retail shop at a 10% discount to students. All tools needed to complete this class will be provided and sewing machines will be available courtesy of BERNINA of America.
