We are so excited to announce our Me Made May Instagram giveaway!
What is Me Made May? It’s a wardrobe challenge created by sewing teacher and writer Zoe Edwards to help you improve your relationship with your handmade wardrobe. Participants make a personal pledge to wear their makes more often or in a different way. By giving yourself the time to focus on what you’re wearing, you’re gaining knowledge to help guide your future projects. In the process, you’ll be upping your chances of future handmade items making you feel fantastic and having long, useful lives. Learn more here!
We loooove seeing all your me-made garments and accessories all year round, but we want to really celebrate your makes this month by giving away a FREE seat in a workshop!
Here’s how to participate in our giveaway:
- Take a photo wearing a garment or accessory you have made. Use of materials from Brooklyn Craft Company, or projects made at one of our workshops is appreciated, but is not required for entry.
- Items must be wearable wardrobe pieces such as clothing, bags, or accessories, and can be sewn, knit, crocheted, dyed, woven, mended, upcycled, or embellished.
- Post your masterpiece to Instagram via a grid post or reel.
- Tag #BCCMeMadeMay, @BrooklynCraftCompany, and #memademay
- Make sure your post is public, otherwise we won't be able to see it and your entry won't be counted!
- There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
- Entries will be accepted 5/1/24 at 6:00am PST through 5/30/24 at 11:59pm PST.
- The winner will receive a voucher redeemable for one seat in any Brooklyn Craft Company workshop valued up to $200.
- Prize voucher must be used within 12 months.
- Prize not redeemable for cash or physical items at Brooklyn Craft Company.
- Participants must be ages 18+, U.S. residents only.
- No purchase necessary to enter.
