Got a hole in your favorite pair of jeans? It's all good... you can patch them up! Join us to learn how to patch up your denim + apply Sashiko techniques, a type of Japanese hand sewing used for visible mending, decorative stitching, and more!
This class will cover:
- How to create geometric mending stitch patterns
- What types of fabric, thread, needles and other tools are required
- How to patch holes in clothing and other textiles
Students may bring in clothing they'd like to mend or opt to practice the techniques on fabric scraps provided. All tools + materials required are included in the registration fee, including needles, specialty thread, rulers, water soluble pencils, and more.
