WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Make your own summer espadrille shoes in this amazing new workshop!

In one lovely Sunday afternoon, you'll craft a custom pair of real shoes from start to finish, featuring your choice of custom colorful fabric uppers. You won't believe how easy it is!

In this workshop you will:

  • Cut, reinforce, and sew the lined fabric upper portion of the shoes on a sewing machine.
  • Learn how to sew the lined fabric uppers to the woven soles with a special hand-sewing stitch.
  • Pre-made woven jute soles with rubber bottoms will be provided to each student.
  • Students will select their choice of cute cotton fabrics for the shoe upper.

Materials: Class fee includes all materials necessary to make a pair of espadrilles (woven soles, hand-sewing needle, interfacing, and cotton yarn) -- but does not include fabric so that students can select their choice of fabric. Fabric will be available for purchase during class with a 10% student discount.

Skill requirements: This is not a learn-to-sew class; you must have basic sewing skills and be comfortable using a sewing machine. Our Sewing 101 (or equivalent) is a prerequisite to this workshop.

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to select your shoe size above before clicking "add to cart"!
