WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Got a hole in your favorite pair of jeans? It's all good... you can patch them up! Join us to learn sashiko, a Japanese hand sewing technique used for visible mending, decorative stitching, and more!

This class will cover:

  • How to create geometric sashiko stitch patterns
  • What types of fabric, thread, needles and other tools are required
  • How to patch holes in clothing and other textiles

Students may use clothing they'd like to mend or opt to practice the techniques on fabric scraps.
