WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Relax with us and experiment with the basics of watercolor, as you make a set of nebula, galaxy, and/or night sky paintings! This mellow, beginner-level workshop will take you on a tour of watercolor basics including how to:

  • Layer and blend colors to create complex shades with depth and dimension
  • Compose a set of abstract images
  • Add stars using various techniques to bring the nebula together
  • Use simple techniques for painting an earthly landscape foreground, such as a forest or mountain

You will leave class with an assortment of a 2-3 small-scale pieces, made by you!

This is a class for everyone! No painting experience is needed, but even avid artists can enjoy learning some new techniques for watercolor. Your instructor will guide you and help you find your own creative path in this fun, casual workshop. Sit back and enjoy the process!
